    Alison Wishengrad, MPH

    CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

    For over 23 years, Alison Wishengrad has helped healthcare organizations secure stronger contracts and improve financial performance. A recognized expert in managed care contracting, payer negotiations, and performance optimization, she founded Ace Health Partners to guide providers and investors through today’s complex and rapidly evolving reimbursement landscape.

    Alison has led consulting engagements with physician groups, hospitals, and digital health companies—delivering measurable gains in revenue, network access, and strategic positioning. Her expertise spans fee-for-service and value-based contracting, payer dispute resolution, and market strategy and access.

    Before launching Ace, Alison spent more than two decades at Gold Health Strategies, Inc., a management consulting firm based in New York City, where she built long-term partnerships with providers and payers. She holds a Master of Public Health from Columbia University and a BA from Brandeis University.

    Known for her collaborative and data-driven approach, Alison partners with clinical, analytics, and operations teams to implement strategies that deliver sustainable results. Clients trust her for her deep industry knowledge, sharp negotiation skills, and ability to turn complexity into clarity.

    Grace Koehl, MPH

    CONSULTANT

    Grace Koehl is a healthcare consultant with expertise in public health policy, value-based care, and payer engagement. She has advised federal health agencies, health plans, and provider organizations on implementation of and participation in high-impact Medicare and Medicaid programs. 

    Prior to joining Ace Health Partners, Grace worked at Deloitte, EY, and The Lewin Group (OptumServe), where she supported initiatives for CMS and state Medicaid agencies. Her work has focused on stakeholder engagement, regulatory analysis, quality measure development, and technical assistance for stakeholders across the healthcare sector. 

    Grace holds a Master of Public Health from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Global Health from Georgetown University.

    Shana English

    CHIEF OF STAFF

    Shana English brings over 14 years of experience in executive support and operations, with a track record of driving efficiency across healthcare, finance, nonprofit, and startup environments. She specializes in bringing structure to fast-paced teams with strategic organization, workflow optimization, and seamless communication. With a background in psychology and education, Shana leads with empathy, precision, and a deep commitment to operational excellence.

Our Advisory Board

  • Sherry Glied, Ph.D., an economist, was Dean of the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University from 2013–2025. From 2010–2012, Glied served as Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation at HHS. She served as Senior Economist on the President’s Council of Economic Advisers in 1992–1993 and, in 2016–2017, on the Commission on Evidence-Based Policymaking. She currently chairs the New York State Commission on the Future of Health Care. Glied is a member of the Board of Directors of Geisinger, the Milbank Fund, and the Social Science Research Council. She is a Nonresident Senior Fellow of the Brookings Institution and an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine, National Bureau of Economic Research, National Academy of Social Insurance, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

  • Carolee Hildenbrandt, MA, RN, has been actively involved with Nurses House, an organization providing short-term financial support for injured and ill nurses, for over twenty years, serving presently as a Director and as a member of the Development and Fundraising Committee. She is currently working as a Clinical Consultant to two Independent Practice Associations in Nassau and Brooklyn. She worked in the clinical field at several NYC hospitals including Mount Sinai, Beth Israel, Downstate and Bellevue. She also worked as a Consultant in a large NYC based Healthcare Consulting firm, Gold Health Strategies, Inc. She is also a board member of the Community Care of Brooklyn IPA. Carolee graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a BS and from NYU with a Master’s in Nursing. Carolee lives in Queens, New York.

  • Paul Klausner, JD, is a corporate attorney specializing in healthcare, with his own practice. Paul represents Medicare Advantage plans, Medicaid plans, healthcare MSOs, medical provider groups, a DME supplier, and does corporate work for companies outside of the healthcare space as well. In the past Paul has served as general counsel of leading managed care companies, serving as day-to-day counsel on a wide variety of matters relating to ownership and management of Medicare Advantage and Medicaid plans (including the largest plan in Puerto Rico) and affiliated MSO operations and provider clinics, as well as a wide variety of general corporate work. Earlier in his career Paul served as General Counsel and then Executive Vice President, Acquisitions and Development, of a NYSE-listed owner, manager and developer of skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. Having served in senior management at large healthcare companies Paul has a great deal of knowledge regarding the challenges faced by healthcare companies, and strategies for managing them.
